Reading Response: Plot Structure

I'm back with books! No more literacy narrative ideas or thoughts, I'm here to give you what you've been wanting(or not), a reading response on Feed. Well, sort of... We get to talk about its structure! Yay! Anyways, enough with the false enthusiasm, in this blog I'll talk about Feed's plot structure. Keep in mind I am currently reading  this; I have not finished with it.

When I read the first 100 pages of Feed, some parts of it were very basic and some bigger ideas were different. Part of the rising action was filled with the introduction of characters and some small events/scenes. The other side of the rising action I found interesting was the setting; it wasn't specific. We find ourselves on the moon, partying and talking, but soon we are in a hospital. Maybe the setting could be a time frame? It's obviously in the future; computer chips in head and colonization of the moon convince me so.

Unfortunately, I can't tell you too much more other than the rising action at the moment. I am still early in the book and look forward to the rest of it, because from what I've seen, it's a pretty good read. So hopefully next blog will consist of the climax and maybe even the falling action.

  1. Very cool! This book sounds very interesting, and in some way funny to me. It also sounds (as we skaters and bikers would say) trippy or sketchy in a good way. Just from what you've told me I want to read this book.

What I like about it is the suddenness and quick change of setting. And if you know me I'm a stickler for a clear setting, already I have an entire scene sketched out in my head. Leading me to believe that this book is going to have good, vivid details. What I liked about the setting change is the rapidness and uncertainty of it. For example there like " woooooow paaarrrttaaayyyy on tha moon whoop whoop!" Then all of a sudden its like
" Oh Snap! That dudes suit just busted and now the Moon's gravity is crushing him." Boom were in the hospital. I really like that because it has a sort of cliff hanger effect. Keep 'em coming about this book! I can't wait to learn more!

  2. Your book sounds good, like one of the books I might like to read. But, how Can the description of the characters be rising action?

  3. I too agree. Like I said, this book seems very fast paced and rapid. How would the characters be the rising action? i like the sound of it and think it could work. Is there any other changes to that and another big event happens, then will it change? I know you are early in the book, but if you have gained more knowledge, give us some more detail to really understand how controversial the characters are.
